Everything we take on, and what is actually included
No packages, no tiers, no upsell scripts. Below is the work we do, what each job covers and roughly how soon we can get to it. If what you need is not listed, ask anyway.
Tree trimming and pruning
Most of the trees we work on are close to something that matters: a roofline, a driveway, a fence, a neighbour. We take the weight off where it needs to come off, open the crown enough for light and wind to move through, and cut back to the right point so the tree seals over instead of throwing up weak regrowth. Everything comes down under control.
Turnaround
Most trimming jobs are quoted within two working days and finished in a single visit.
What is included
- Deadwood, crossing limbs and broken branches removed
- Crown lifted clear of roofs, walks and driveways
- Thinning to let light and wind through
- Cuts made at the branch collar so wounds close cleanly
- All brush chipped or hauled off the same day
Tree and limb removal
Some trees are past saving, and some were planted somewhere they were never going to work. When there is open ground we fell it in one piece. When there is a shed, a fence or a conservatory in the way, it comes down in rigged sections instead. We will tell you honestly if we think a tree can be saved with a trim rather than removed.
Turnaround
Quoted on site. Most removals are booked within a week, and storm damage moves to the front of the list.
What is included
- Sectional dismantling where there is no safe drop zone
- Rigging over sheds, fences, drives and flower beds
- Storm-damaged and hung-up limbs made safe
- Trunk cut to length, or left stacked as firewood if you want it
- Stump cut low and the site raked over
Lawn mowing and edging
A lawn looks after itself if somebody cuts it properly and often enough. We come on the same day each visit, cut at a height that suits the season rather than scalping it down, and take the edges back along the drive, the walk and the beds. The difference people notice is not the mowing, it is the edging and the blow-down afterwards.
Turnaround
New lawns usually start within a week of the estimate being agreed, then run on a fixed schedule.
What is included
- Weekly or fortnightly visits on a set day
- Cutting height adjusted through the season
- Edges cut along drives, walks, beds and fence lines
- String trimming around posts, trees and awkward corners
- Drives, paths and patios blown clear before we leave
Weed control
Weeds in turf and weeds in gravel are two different problems and they need two different answers. We treat what has come through, then time the next application to the point in the season where it actually does something. It is not a single spray, it is a sequence, and the results show up over a season rather than a weekend.
Turnaround
The first treatment usually follows within a week of the estimate. Later rounds are timed to the season, not the calendar.
What is included
- Broadleaf treatment in turf areas
- Pre-emergent timed to the season
- Drives, gravel and paving strips kept clear
- Hand pulling in beds where spraying is not appropriate
- A note left after each visit saying what was treated
Mulching and bed care
Mulch is the cheapest thing you can do for a garden bed. It holds water in through the dry weeks, keeps the soil temperature steady and smothers most of what would otherwise come up. We turn over what is there, cut a proper edge between bed and lawn, and lay fresh mulch at a depth that works without piling it against the stems.
Turnaround
Quoted by the yard. Most properties are finished in one visit, larger grounds over two.
What is included
- Existing mulch turned and topped up, or stripped if it has matted
- A cut edge between bed and lawn
- Weeds cleared before anything goes down
- Laid at depth, kept back off trunks and stems
- Hard surfaces swept clean afterwards
Seasonal cleanups
Twice a year a property needs more than a mow. In spring that means clearing what winter left behind and getting the beds ready before anything starts growing. In fall it means staying ahead of the leaf drop so the lawn is not sitting under a wet mat all winter. Both end with everything loaded and taken away.
Turnaround
Booked by season. Spring and fall slots fill early, so it is worth getting on the list ahead of time.
What is included
- Full leaf clearance from lawns, beds and fence lines
- Winter debris and fallen limbs removed
- Beds cut back and tidied
- Gutters and hard surfaces cleared of leaf litter
- Everything hauled off, not bagged and left
