Terms
Terms of service
These terms cover using this website and the work we carry out. They are written to be readable rather than impressive.

Using this website
The information on this site is here to help you decide whether to get in touch. We keep it accurate and up to date as far as we reasonably can, but nothing on these pages is a binding offer or a fixed price.
Estimates
Estimates are free and carry no obligation on either side. Sending the form does not book any work and does not commit you to anything.
A figure given over the phone or by email before we have seen the property is an indication only. The written estimate we give after visiting is the one that counts.
- Written estimates hold for 30 days unless we say otherwise in writing
- A price only changes if the work changes, and only after we have told you and you have agreed
- Work found once we start, such as rot inside a trunk, is quoted separately before we carry on
Booking and cancelling
Work is booked for an agreed day. If you need to move or cancel a visit, let us know as far ahead as you reasonably can so the slot can go to somebody else.
Weather moves tree work more often than anything else. High wind, storms or ground that is too soft make some jobs unsafe, and where that happens we will reschedule rather than press on.
Access and your responsibilities
- We need access to the work area on the agreed day, including gates unlocked where relevant
- Vehicles should be moved clear of the work area and the drop zone before we arrive
- Pets need to be kept indoors while we are on site
- Tell us about anything buried, hidden or fragile: irrigation lines, septic covers, cabling, garden lighting
- Where a tree is on a boundary or covered by a local preservation rule, it is the property owner who is responsible for having the right to have it worked on
How the work is carried out
Work is carried out with reasonable care and skill, using the methods appropriate to the job and the site.
Trees are living things. We can improve the condition and safety of a tree, but nobody can guarantee how a tree will respond to pruning or promise that a tree will never drop a limb afterwards.
Waste and debris
Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, brush, clippings and leaf litter leave with us and hard surfaces are cleared before we go. If you want logs left for firewood, tell us before we start and we will stack them.
Payment
Payment is due on the terms set out on your estimate or invoice. Regular lawn care is invoiced on the agreed cycle rather than per visit.
Insurance and liability
We carry liability insurance and can provide a certificate before work starts on request.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Problems
If something is not right, tell us promptly and give us the chance to put it right. That is almost always faster and better for everyone than the alternatives.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page on the day your estimate is issued.
